Nicola Baldazzi (1985) lives and works in Ravenna (IT). He studied photography with Guido Guidi at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna. He attended courses and workshops with artists and photographers: Alessandro Tosatto, Cesare Fabbri, Andrew Phelps, Marcos Morau, Gerry Johansson, Jason Fulford, Gus Powell, Peter Fraser, Joachim Brohm and Valentina Seidel. In 2013 he started collaborating with Veronica Lanconelli and osservatorio fotografico (cultural association and publisher founded by Silvia Loddo and Cesare Fabbri), he also published his first book Piccolo prontuario di fotografia segnaletica. In 2013 he was finalist at Premio Francesco Fabbri per le arti contemporanee. In 2014 he was selected for Giovane Fotografia Italiana, curated by Daniele De Luigi within Fotografia Europea festival in Reggio Emilia. In 2015 he won the biennial prize RAM, held by Mirada, cultural association based in Ravenna. In 2016 he was selected for the book and exhibition Abitare il deserto curated by Giovanni Zaffagnini at Museo San Rocco in Fusignano. In 2017 his work was exhibited in Dove Viviamo, curated by Silvia Loddo within Street Photography A Tribute to Everyday Life , Øksnehallen, Copenhagen and he won Agarttha Arte prize. In 2018 he exhibited his work at Palazzina di Caccia Stupinigi in Turin and at Copenhagen Photo Festival, he was selected as a finalist at Fotofilmic18 and osservatorio fotografico published his second book, He didn’t believe me, a photo text book he made with Veronica Lanconelli.
